Traffic sources

No redirect tracking with multiple traffic sources on one landing page

As an affiliate marketer, you are most certainly familiar with the situation when you want to send traffic from multiple sources to one Landing Page with no-redirect tracking.

Such a scenario makes it challenging to determine which source the traffic comes from and to track the statistics accordingly. Now let’s bring the challenge to the new level and imagine your traffic sources are Facebook and Google. Moreover, you also want to keep monitoring your organic traffic on the same Landing Page.

Sounds complicated, doesn’t it? Don’t worry, RedTrack has a solution. With just one single script, you will be able to track your purchased and organic traffic separately for each source.

Important! This is an advanced tutorial and is not supported by RedTrack Support. Knowledge of web design languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript is required. We suggest hiring an expert if you are not comfortable proceeding with the following tutorial on your own.

1.  Create target campaigns. One of them should be for organic traffic
2. Add this script to your page code.

You will need to replace the default campaign value with the campaign for organic traffic (‘default’: ‘insert campaign id’) and your_domain” to the custom tracking domain you will be using. Your custom tracking domain should be secure (https enabled).

Download the script from here.

3. After that, put the “cmpid=campaign id” parameter to the end of your LP URLs depending on the traffic source and campaign used. The sample is the following lp.url?cmpid=1232149324
Your campaign ids can be found here:

Enable the appropriate column first

The link to this particular campaign will look like this:
RedTrack will identify the incoming traffic based on the “cmpid” parameter. If there is no “cmpid” set in the URL, the traffic will be attributed to the default organic traffic campaign.
